If you have forgotten your password, please choose an option from the list below:

• I remember the email address I used when I created my Skype account 
• I DO NOT remember the email address I used when I created my Skype account and:
  • I have never paid for any Skype feature
  • I have paid for at least one Skype feature in the past

I remember the email address I used when I created my Skype account

If you remember the email address you used when you first created your Skype account, you can reset your password:

1. Go to the Forgotten your password page.
2. Enter your registered email address and click Submit. This is the email address you used when you created your Skype account. We will send you an email with a password token to reset your password.
3. Check your email inbox for an email from Skype entitled Password token. If you can’t find it, remember to check your junk or spam folders. The email can take up to 30 minutes to reach you and it must be used within six hours.
4. Open the email and click the temporary code link.
   If the temporary code link doesn’t work, click the second link entitled enter the code manually.This takes you to a web page where you can enter the temporary code contained in the email. Copy and paste this code into the box (make sure you don’t include any spaces at the end) and click Submit.
5. If you have more than one Skype Name, choose the relevant one from the dropdown box. Enter a new password. Your new password must be between 6 and 20 characters long, and must include at least one number and one letter. Enter the password a second time.
6. Click Change password and sign me in.

That’s it! Your password has been reset. You can now sign in to Skype with your new details. 

I don’t remember the email address I used when I created my Skype account and I have never paid for any Skype feature

Unfortunately, if you cannot remember your registered email address or password, you’ll need to create a new Skype account.
