contacts know you're calling them. Once you have set up
caller identification, your mobile number or Online
Number is displayed when you call phones and mobiles
from Skype.
Caller identification is free to set up and use. (If you
use your mobile number as your caller identification, you
will need a little Skype
Credit to pay for the two text messages required
to validate your number.)

Caller identification using your mobile number is available across the world, with the exception of Japan and Mexico.

How do I set up caller identification using my Online Number?
To set up caller identification using your Online Number:
- Sign in to your account.
- In the Call phones tab, click Set up a caller identification.
- Click select a pre-saved number.
- From the drop-down list displayed, select the Online Number that you want to use as caller identification.
- Click Save Settings. Your caller identification is now set and ready to go.
How do I set up caller identification using my mobile number?
To set up caller identification using your mobile number:
- Sign in to your account.
- In the Call phones tab and click Set up a caller identification.
- From the drop-down list displayed, select your country.
- Enter your mobile number in the text box and click Verify number.
- You will receive a text to your phone containing a confirmation code. Enter this code in the field displayed.
- Click Verify.
It may take 24 hours for your caller identification to be activated. Before the activation you will receive a text confirming that caller identification is about to be activated using your mobile number.
How long does it take for caller identification to be activated?
Caller identification is activated immediately for Online Numbers.
