In the menu bar, click Tools > Options > Audio Settings.

Press . If you can hear sound being played, your speakers are working correctly.

To adjust the volume of the speakers, drag the speaker slider left or right.

If you cannot hear any sound, make sure that the device you want to use as your speakers is selected in the dropdown list. If it’s not, click the down arrow and select another device.

Press again. If you can hear sound being played, your speakers are working correctly.

Check you're not on mute, and turn up any volume control knobs on your speakers.

Check your call quality settings and ensure that that no issues are identified in the Computer and Connection tabs. If an issue is identified, follow the instructions provided.

If you’re not on a call, try to make a test call. If you can record your own voice and hear it played back to you, then the problem may lie with the person you are calling. If so, ask them to follow these instructions.

Make sure that both you and the person you are calling are using the latest version of Skype. If you’re not sure what version of Skype you are using, it’s easy to find out.
